Golf Breaks

The Hillside Hotel is ideally situated for those wishing to test their skills on some of Scotland’s most challenging & famous courses.

On our doorstep we have Montrose Medal, an exciting 6,500 yard links course (regular open qualifier course) as well as it’s smaller but no less interesting ‘broomie’ course. Nearby several other quality courses offer visitors a warm welcome, including Arbroath, Edzell, Brechin, Forfar & Letham Grange (Scotland’s Augusta)

For those wishing to play our world famous courses, Carnoustie is only 20 minutes away & St.Andrews is within an hours drive

Fishing Breaks

The Hillside Hotel’s location makes it a very popular choice for fishing parties with several of our guests being regular visitors to the area, using us as the perfect spot to relax after a day on the River Esk or one of the nearby Estates

For smaller parties we have our mini-bus available for drop off & collection, at favourable rates.
